DT Creation

I received a DT kit for the month of August for Scrapbook Central. In my kit was a Kaiser Box. I loved working with this box. It painted so nicely and smooth! Working with what was in my kit - I adding on a few items. The Kaiser wooden heart accent and the ribbon and paint. The Kaiser wooden accents with the swirls were in the kit along with the Bo Bunny paper - jardin. along with the friends rhinestones. I am in the process of making a kaiser train album for this little conductors birthday party.




...and a 12x12 canvas. I will post them as soon as they are done. Well have a great long weekend. I will try and post some new LO's this weekend, if I can break away from a long weekend of laundry, cleaning and having summer FL fun in the pool with family. We have a ton of birthday's to celebrate on Sunday so some good pictures should be taken. Um... more ammo for my Got Sketch 102 class. Can't wait for Monday!

I am so excited. I love her sketches and now I can not wait for the first class on September 1, I am hoping this will get my scrapping MoJo back in action.

So here is one I did using a Making Memories Kit with a little extra stuff. Love those Cloud 9 letters. Sorry for the crazy colors, flash was too bright and no flash well let me with this..... I loved the pic of my grandparents and that saying perfectly describes them. Grandma is in the hospital right now, but she be released soon. It sort of freaked me out at first hearing she was in the hospital since I just lost my Mom's Dad less then a month ago! A little to close for me. I do have the best grandparents in the world!

Here is one I did using my kit from the Scrapbook Central Design Team. It is Bo Bunny and I added some of the bo bunny buttons and flowers. The picture is of my brother and his amazingly beautiful family!

So I turned 38, my son took a very close picture of me, and I thought why not scrap this time in your life! So here is it. Nothing fancy, but I like the way it came out; even my terrible handwriting. I used ink boutique stamps. MY FAVORITE -

Here is one of my son and I. I have scrapped the picture before, but just love it. And these papers are so pretty paired with bazzill bling!

Well this weekend was made for scrapping. My son went to Mom and Dad's on Friday through about 3:30 on Saturday and I scrapped almost the entire morning on Saturday. So on Saturday night I hooked up with 2 friends from high school. Now I wont say how long it has been since HS, but this year is a reunion year! And it is NOT our first. Needless to say we had a GREAT Time and I hope to post a page of the night soon!

New DT Kits

So the new DT kits are in at Scrapbook Central. I went and picked mine up today. I am working with the Bo Bunny Beau Jardin line. These are a little darker than I am used to, but they are pretty. I have a page that is partially done and coming out pretty cute. I picked up some glossy accents while I was there today to try out. So far so good. Only stuck my finger nail in one letter. :(.. Practice makes perfect! Once the page is done I will post it. The other project I got was a storage box from Kaiser Craft. I am working on that one now. After painting the entire box I need to let it dry completely and will add the paper and embellies tomorrow. Not sure exactly where this one is going yet, but know the papers. This group of papers is a little difficult to use on the box since there are not a lot of solid pattern papers ( if that makes sense) they have the patterns in each corner, but I have an idea. Wish me luck on that. Well we are getting ready for our trip to

I can not wait. We will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. Though I have heard mixed reviews, I will just be happy to be getting away! We can use the break after the last month or so. We are going for my little man's 8th birthday. Today we went to get his haircut - the Zach Efron look! Oh yea he is now at the age where he wants to pick it all out! Growing up way to fast!

Make a wish baby! This is a surprise trip for him - well at least where we are going. He loves going to hotels - or Ko-tels as he used to call them. He gets so mad when we say words like he used to say them - it is too funny. We miss that little innocennce he used to have! Now I really believe he thinks he is a teenager! His vocabulary kills me - Sometimes I forget I am talking to an 8 year old! I will edit this with a photo of the new hair style tomorrow.

Well it has been a while!

I have not blogged for quite some time it seems. I have had been crazy with the end of my first semester back at school and we also had a passing in our family. My dear Papaw (Mom's Dad) passed away after spending a month in the hospital. It was extremely hard on everyone. Between almost daily visits to the hospital and regular daily stuff, it really took a toll on me. I needed to step away from the blog, scrapping and extra luxury stuff.



I am just starting my second semester of classes and this term will be a tough one. LOTS of writing. Wish I could just submit my blog! :) Guess that would be classified as Informal writing uh! Oh well. I did a new LO last night using some of the Glitz papers. I really loved this picture of my son and thought the papers really made the colors stand out.


The papers are fun just like him. This kid makes my day! He is tough and smart and really makes being a parent a great challenge. We have been pretty busy since my last post with scouts and family life as well. Both my hubby and I have had birthdays, a new baby was born in the family, a passing of my grandpa, Scout Rocket Derby and Summer Wrap up, as well as my Nephew's 8th Birthday! Wow that is crazy. So here are some pictures of my last 2 months. Hopefully I will be back to posting everyday. And for Laverne watch out for the weather from the window picture to come back! So far today the picture looks the same. :)
